Russia has accidentally bombed its own territory twice in a single day after glide bombs it bodged together on the cheap failed to properly deploy. A shop owner in occupied Donetsk had a 1.5 ton bomb drop through his roof, with video showing the huge unexploded device inside his store. Meanwhile Russian troops were filmed trying to defuse another large bomb filled with smaller cluster bomblets after it was dropped on their trench. Russian fighter-bombers had dropped both bombs over their own territory to avoid Ukrainian air defences. The bombs are equipped with pop-out wings that should allow them to glide to their targets but the Russians have been making the glide kits on the cheap and sometimes they don’t deploy properly. If that happens, then Russia bombs its own territory. The fighters could drop the bombs away from populated areas or their troops, but it appears the Kremlin simply doesn’t care enough to avoid them. Russian MoD vid shows the bombs strapped to the underside of a plane - with the cheap wing kits facing downwards. The video shows how the bombs are taken up and then dropped, before turning over so the wing kit faces up. Once that happens, the wings are supposed to pop out and glide the bomb to its target. #russia #ukraine #war Daily Mail Homepage: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/ Daily Mail Facebook: / dailymail Daily Mail IG: / dailymail Daily Mail Snap: / 8392137033 Daily Mail Twitter: / mailonline Daily Mail Pinterest: https://pinterest.co.uk/dailymail Russia accidentally bombs its own territory twice with bodged glide bombs Get the free Daily Mail mobile app: https://dailymail.co.uk/mobile
