On the 10th of December, 2021, a small group of Super Monkey Ball community members released a 14-page-long investigation into the legitimacy of a number of high scores from Jcool114, someone once considered one of the game's all-time greatest players. The report detailed by far the most cunning and widespread cheating ever seen in SMB's 20-year-long competitive history, providing damning evidence Jcool went to great lengths to create a cheated liveplay, that would serve to dispel any suspicion of all his other cheated scores. Ultimately, the legitimacy of every high score Jcool had ever submitted was brought into question, with literally hundreds of scores being removed from the leaderboards as a result. It was submitted to Cyberscore on 2011-03-13, although some players who were active during that timeframe believe the score may have first been claimed in 2010.
