Golden Open Acrylic Paint Review

Today I am reviewing the Open acrylics by Golden. I was curious to try these slow-drying acrylic because they claim to dry slower than traditional acrylics and behave more like oils. Open refers to "open time" or how long they remain workable. I am using the Modern Color sample set. You can find that set as well as single tubes here: https://shrsl.com/2623g Pros: *Slow Drying *Lightfast *Artist Quality *Highly Pigmented *Compatible with other acrylics (although mixing them with regular acrylics will reduce the open time) *Dabs of paints stay usable on the palette for hours Cons: *These might stay wet too long for some painters *They are a bit pricy as only available in professional grade. however, they are priced similarly to other pro-grade acrylics. Bottom line: I love these paints and I think they are my favorite acrylics for completing a painting. I wouldn't use them in applications where a quick-dry finish is needed but for the joy of painting a picture, these are the best.
