So, in this video I am going to be talking about breast implant removal and what is involved. As we get slightly older the majority of women develop more breast tissue, more natural breast tissue so we find in a number of cases we can remove the breast implants with or without the surrounding capsule the inevitably surrounds every implant and in many cases we can get quite a good result with removal of implants alone. It is really amazing how much the skin, in the majority of cases, sprigs back. So in the majority of patients who have implant removal on their own, the breast is initially rather deflated and the skin stretched but the skin by its very nature is quite elastic and recoils so the majority of our patients who have implant removal on their own, go back pretty much to what they were before they had implants and in many cases they will be naturally a little bit larger, maybe one to two cup sizes larger because they have developed more of their natural breast tissue with time.
