HotCars contributor Michael Van Runkle got the chance to take the new Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica out for some track testing at The Thermal Club, near Palm Springs, California. The track-focused trim celebrates the Huracan's outgoing naturally aspirated V10 with a final Tecnica package that sits just below the hardcore STO in the lineup. With 631 horsepower peaking way up in the rev range, the Tecnica simplifies and adds lightness with plenty of carbon fiber, aero goodies, and single-ratio steering that all contribute to a curb weight of only 3,040 pounds. A hot day on the track reveals how squirrelly this rear-wheel-drive supercar gets at the limit, making for a fun day in the desert to say the very least.
