The Balance of Two Worlds - A Story of the Navajo Nation

Over the past several months I was able to put together this short documentary of Utah State University student Kyle Todecheene and his family. Kyle is was raised 15 miles west of Monument Valley, Utah in a Hogan, a traditional Navajo dwelling, until the age of six where he began his schooling. Finding a balance between embracing a new culture and learning more about his own Navajo culture is what makes Kyle the man he is today. Kyle is a very talented photographer and attends Utah State University studying Watershed Sciences where he will graduate in December 2018. Kyle's family took my wife Brooke and I in for about a week and shared their home, food, and culture with us. I have always been fascinated with Native American cultures and am very grateful for being able to tell this short story.
