Until one day, when I was 5 years old, he had no choice but to take me to the operating theater. I remember that day as an incredible experience. And then, I had no doubt; I decided that I wanted to become a doctor. ✅ During his medical career, he quickly became involved as a professor of human anatomy and dissection, where he was able to learn the basic steps of surgery. In the med-scho ✅ He moved to Buenos Aires to complete his residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the renowned Hospital Italiano of Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of 29, he obtained a grant to perform a sub-specialization in Gynecologic Oncology at the prestigious European Institute of Oncology in Milan, Italy. ✅ I learned to perform high complex gynecological surgeries due to advanced ovarian cancer with peritoneal carcinomatosis, as well as other robotic and laparoscopic surgeries. After that, Dr. Lucas Minig moved to the National Cancer Institute in the United States where he did multiple researches to determine the genetic causes of gynecological cancer. ✅ When I arrived to the NCI, I realized that I was in the most important institution in the world for cancer research. I was lucky to make the most of that experience where I learnt cancer genetics, including all its therapeutic options. He moved to Madrid, Spain, to set up a Gynecological Cancer Unit in a referral hospital. After 4 years of hard work this Unit achieved great notoriety in both Madrid and Spain. ✅ After that, I moved to Valencia, Spain to be the Head of the Gynecology Department at the Valencian Institute of Oncology, where we was able to run the department that was a referral center, both locally and internationally. ✅ I am a passionate gynecologic oncologist, specialized in the surgical treatment of gynecological cancer and other benign pathologies that require a highly complex surgical treatment.
