In this marvellous walk we explore the 9km beach located in the Porto Santo Island, Portugal. Breathe, relax, and enjoy! Porto Santo Island, part of the Madeira archipelago, is known as the "Golden Island" due to its 9 km long sandy beach, covering the southwest coast. With its fine sand and clear turquoise waters, it is ideal for relaxation, swimming, and surfing. The beach is divided into smaller sections, including Penedo, Fontinha, Cabeço da Ponta, and Calheta beaches. The water temperature ranges from 18°C in winter to 23°C in late summer, making it suitable for almost year-round swimming. The beach offers amenities such as parasols, bars, hotels, and Thalassotherapy centers. For stunning views, a short walk to the tip of Calheta facing the islet of Cal is recommended.
