So last week, we brought the old American Standard 199k BTU (gross) single zone boiler back to life. House was recently bought and almost done with renovations. Of course, the 40 year old boiler works so why replace it, right? Wrong! When we resurrected the boiler, we did a combustion test. Very high CO and told client consider replacing it or, not recommended, major cleaning and overhaul. Not cost effective. Limited basement staircase clearance meant a WM CGa6 instead of the typical Burnham ES26. Watch as we take out and install the replacement. Appreciate the feedback.
