Urunga! We nearly kept driving | Best boardwalk EVER | more secluded beaches & Allys Birthday - Ep71

On this weeks episode we leave the beautiful campsite at Black Rock and head further down the coast to a caravan park stay. We book into the Urunga Waters tourist park and set up for a couple of days to explore the Coffs Harbour area and celebrate All‘s birthday. Were you lucky enough to get a waterfront site at this quirky caravan park with beautiful views across the river and all for just $40 a night. After celebrating Ally’s birthday over lunch in Coffs Harbour we head down to the Urunga footbridge a 100 year-old boardwalk that leads out to a beautiful beach at Hungry Head. We are amazed by the beautiful scenery of the inlet and we see some of the biggest Whiting we’ve ever encountered….where’s the fishing rod when you need it! Next we head to Kylie‘s campground in the beautiful Crowdy Bay National Park that is frequented by koalas and kangaroos. We spend our days strolling along the big lonely beautiful beach and watch the waves crush over the rocks. We take a walk out to Kylie‘s hut to discover another historical monument without an information sign…. Who would’ve guessed it?😀 Ally and I have been travelling now for a little over 18 months with no real plan on where to go to next, with so many things to see and do in our beautiful country.
