Today we're going to be analysing some #airsoft footage which I recorded while testing my custom CYMA CM032 M14 DMR build. So we can finally work out how far it shoots! Bit of a long video, I know but there is a lot of explaining and information that should hopefully help you measure your airsoft gun's maximum range with Google Maps! Now I have been told or at least heard that "Google Maps doesn't count" and that it's probably the worst way of measuring how far your #airsoftsniper shoots aside from just guessing. However I have seen NO evidence to prove that Google Maps is not an accurate measuring tool. And in my experience the only downside is that you require landmarks of the testing area to make measuring easier. Some people like to sound off about Google Maps in the same way they dismiss anyone who manages to get their guns to shoot further than theirs by playing the "airsoft metres" card. As in anyone who claims to have a bigger number is exaggerating or outright lying. My Custom #cyma Airsoft M14 DMR is the furthest reaching gun I own and even rivals the Ares Amoeba Striker AS01 which my dad owns. Although the latter did reach out to 105 metres before the Sugru blew out. I'm not insinuating that my DMR build is the best and it cannot be beaten. But I have rarely, if at all ended up in gunfights without having a range advantage over my adversaries. Even 500FPS rifles have come up short! This video could certainly be better. I am hoping to do another range test with some 0.48s when I next get a chance to have a shootout at Commando Elite Paintball. And I reckon that triple digits (in metres) might just be achievable.
