Evangelical Vision Aiming @ Nurturing Servants ( EVANS ), & The MATTHEWS Chapter 28 Jesus Missioners ( TM28JM org ) @ Apostle Evans Gospel Ministry TV COURSE BOOK : GROUP FORMATION AND ITS FUNCTIONS Lesson 5 : WHY MEMBERS JOIN THE GROUP Some want to be helped / aided by the group Some lack company and join for companionship Some join because of the prestige of the group Some come to relate or compare thier groups with others Some join the group to learn new skills Some join for funs and relaxations Some join wanting to lead others Some join as spies Some join as observers and not participants Lession 6 : FACTORS TO BE OBSERVED WHEN FORMING A GROUP TIME - the time of forming of forming a group to be considered PEOPLE TYPE - the type of people you have in a group AGE - Age is important to categorise topics to share SEX/GENDER - this matters and needs to be balanced, gender biasness is not advisable INTERESTS OF MEMBERS - What members desire or are passionate on may lead to production SIZE - The size of a group depending with its start , maybe activities etc VENUE - The place or stead or jurisdiction of operations matters alot MEETINGS - time of meetings ie durations etc , where to meet , methods of meetings etc AIMS & OBJECTIVES - these should be made clear , priorities must be made clear since no group starts without important intentions CONSTITUTION / CHARTER / BY - LAWS - Rules must be made and principals set in order to guide its members , operations or/and others Lesson 6a : ELEMENTS OF A SUCCESSFUL AND GOOD GROUP N/B: this must be a group that :- MOVES - No stagnations , progress noted , steps seen GROWS - their is improvement, its seen as increasing and moving forward DEVELOPS - In every aspects or areas or its own people and beneficiaries VISIBLE WITH ACTIONS - Progams being implemented EXPANDS - In its activities , people ,projects etc Lesson 6b : WE NOTICE THAT A GROUP IS SUCCESSFULL AS A RESULT OF : A friendly group - loving , peace , unity , coorperation etc A group that voluntarily contributes willingly - for instance funds, labour, materials etc A group with clear objectives and activities A group with members feeling a sense of belonging A group with all their activities benefiting all members A group with no cheap politicking - rumors, backbiting , loose talk etc A group that always avoid imposed ideas which fails the group A group with good plannings, structures and implementations A group with a committee that is able to solve internal and externalvconflicts eg ; " it listens , " it asks questions, " it distinguishes truth and lies " judges without being biased , has no favorism " No misjudging others " having no sub - grouping in a group " a group that counts achievements and failures when required to do so " a group with laid out by - laws and rules ( Constitution or charter ) that includes do's and don'ts to govern the group and its members " A group with good relationships with other partnership or collaborating agencies and follow chain of communication " A group with democracy - where members are granted opportunities to share their ideas and giftings , where members can speak out their matter , where members are not limited to help in decision making , where leaders have teachable spirits and have no eco - centrism / self - centeredness attitudes **** Full video explanations availble on you tube and other channels **** find more on the link below 👇👇👇👇👇👇 / @apostleevansministry
