This video captures the very beginning of our journey - from packing up our life in the U.S. to stepping into the unknown in Thailand. We start at home, packing and preparing to leave, then travel to the airport, fly out of JFK, and pass through Seoul, South Korea before finally arriving in Bangkok. After our first nights in Thailand at Scene Bangkoknoi, we continued on to Chiang Mai - where things didn’t quite go as planned. Just hours before arriving, we learned that the apartment we had secured months in advance was no longer available. That meant arriving in a new country, on Thanksgiving, without a place to live. What followed was a long day of apartment hunting, paperwork, and adjusting expectations - all while trusting that God was still very much in control. That night, we stayed at the River Art Hotel in Chiang Mai, while our newly selected apartment was being cleaned and prepared. The next day, we signed our lease, moved in, and immediately jumped into learning how to find everything we needed - groceries, household essentials, and the basics to make a new place feel like home. Once we caught our breath, we took a short trip to the Krabi province for a few quiet days by the beach before officially settling into life in Chiang Mai. We’re not influencers. We’re just a family sharing this journey for the people who love us and want to follow along - the highs, the challenges, and the moments that remind us why we said yes in the first place. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s really like to move abroad as a family, to trust God when plans fall apart, or to build a sense of home far from familiar places - this video is for you. Thanks for being here and walking with us. Marcus, Tasha & Jethro
