These are some of the experiences of community members in Sila, eastern Chad, where extreme rains during the rainy season can make travel difficult and dangerous, and community resources even more vital. To protect people’s health in Chad this season, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is providing water and sanitation services, as well as vaccination and community health support. Community members play a key role in decision-making and implementing activities, helping us to design a health program that fits their needs. They also worked behind the camera to produce this video capturing their day-to-day surroundings and critical roles.
