"In The Weeds" is a song by John Holgate off of his 'Descent Into Chaos' album. John has quite a few albums and i own all of them. We crossed paths years ago when he purchased some kites from me 'Big Mikes Kites'. I discovered his music and we've been in a symbiotic relationship ever since. He has been gracious enough to let me use his music on my videos. Please explore his music and purchase some yourself. From the man himself Descent INTO Chaos Having got well and truly over Windows pushing updates on me and various shenanigans with interfaces not playing well or having too much latency, I made a decision to swap to a Mac. As my current recording software doesn't support Mac, it would mean having to learn something like Logic. But rather than commit to anything up front, there is a version of Logic for iPad that I could try cheaply before making the move to a Mac to see if I could get along with Logic. Was Logic any good on an iPad? - turns out yes it is. Could I record an entire album on the iPad? Absolutely. Armed with an iPad, a LaunchKey midi controller keyboard, assorted electric guitars and an Arturia Minifuse 2 interface, this is the result. Drums are stock Logic, guitar sounds - I used Overloud Thu on the ipad as a Logic Plug-in and keyboards are a mixture of stock Logic and assorted ios synth/keyboard plug-ins. This album is a little more reflective, a bit more keyboard orientated. Pretty much every track is a happy accident of me messing around with sounds on either the guitar or keyboard and finding something I liked the sound of, then building a song around it. I can take my entire rig on the road / in the caravan. Keyboard and interface can be powered directly from the iPad.
