I turned pro for @powellperalta it feels surreal and amazing in every way. From starting out as shop flow for @killerskatepark the week I turned 14 after Powell came to Evansville Indiana on the “Lets Go Skate” tour, I then moved out here at 18 to live in @devillenunes closet after he offered me to stay. With no other goals than to have fun on my skateboard 🛹 10 years after getting that first box that changed my life I now have my very own graphic and board shape for this iconic company! I couldn’t have done it without my friends and family! I also couldn’t have done it without all of you. To everyone who has ever liked a post, shared a story, left a comment, watched a video of mine, talked to me at a park, or supported me in anyway, you matter so much ❤️🖤 I want to thank you so so so much ❤️ it means the world to me 🖤🖤🖤 Dreams really do come Get it today at your local shop or by clicking this link! https://www.skateone.com/powell-peral... ABOUT THE ARTWORK: “Chris’s first pro graphic features a skeleton bursting out of a jack in the box — a bold metaphor for breaking free from limitations and embracing authenticity. It represents the idea of thinking outside the box, stepping out of your comfort zone, and owning who you are. Created in collaboration with VCJ, the design captures the raw feeling of self-discovery and transformation. Chris’s hope is that his graphic invites skaters to recognize each other, spark conversations, and build community, especially for those who might feel unseen or out of place. Unbeknownst to both Chris and Court, the graphic would take on an even deeper meaning. Court was in the middle of designing the piece when he experienced a heart attack — a shocking event that mirrored the image he was drawing: a Jack in the Box, heart at its center, radiating outward. What started as a playful idea became a raw, symbolic reflection of life’s unpredictability, and a reminder of how art, emotion, and experience are often more connected than we realize.” Filmed by @kennymartes @DanCorrigan @SeanEnuks @devillenunes 🖤Stay Alive🖤
