Costco's Kirkland Signature XO Cognac | its all about the cocktail | Ray O'Brien Kirkland Signature XO Cognac is great tasting cognac from the Cognac region of France. Now some people are not well versed in cognac and I explain the basic characteristics of cognac while comparing it to a VS Hennessey, a more well-known brand, (just because everybody is not aware it is a cognac). This product has a nice mouthfeel and taste and it a great value when compared to similar cognacs. I also explain the aging process in oak barrels, and the age classifications much like that of whiskey Now, some people like to mix their brandies/cognacs in cocktails, I think that when you get an aged XO cognac, it is best enjoyed neat, as I show. Or you may want to add a small ice ball or have it with a cigar, s as it is said to enhance the taste of the cigar.
