A couple of things i'd like to talk about. I would say this is more of a musical diary that occurred over the past days. [TIMESTAMPS] 00:00 - drum loop 03:15 - talkbox 07:39 - let's get it on 14:49 - the broken zygomatic 19:00 - splash 23:09 - super bright medicine 28:19 - thin ice 31:41 - orange and fading 36:48 - odie 41:28 - oddity 45:21 - untitled man 00:00 - [drum loop] can you make a song out of a drum loop? i guess so. i was really driven by hiphop samples that i got for free. 03:15 - [talkbox] literal vocal samples put through a talkbox and it turns out to be pretty groovy 07:39 - [let's get it on] very hyper. probably pinnacle of the album. trying to combine trap and hiphop elements with synthwave. this was actually conceptualized a couple of years ago when my friend Edward Polangcos sent me a guitar track. 14:49 - [the broken zygomatic] i tried to make a bootleg gorillaz remix but it didn't really vibe well. but i did like the instrumental so i just rewrote it for instrumental 19:00 - [splash] i tried to get into chillstep and something more bubbly and brighter. this is what I got. 23:09 - [super bright medicine] tipsy and very weird with stretched drum loops to give it that topsy-turvy feeling 28:19 - [thin ice] i was into the witchhouse genre when conceptualizing this track. sidewalk and skeletons and that fun stuff 31:41 - [orange and fading] i wrote this when the sunset in our place was really reaaally orange. like verry orange. 36:48 - [odie] i wrote this when my friend's dog died. it was a hard time for her but she's happy now. 41:28 - [oddity] i was experimenting with a mellotron vst when i accidentally got this riff. it reminds me of sunny afternoons or dusk in ghibli films 45:21 - [untitled man] the culmination of this entire sonic journey ultimately im probably thinking out loud. once again another album that i got to express and create without any restrictions. i enjoy these very much.
