The characteristic tree top call of the male Song Thrush / Manu-kai-hua-rakau. Song Thrushes are just slightly smaller than a blackbird, about 22 cm long and weighing around 70 gms. Thrushes frequent a wide range of lowland and hilly habitats including suburban gardens, farmland, woodlands and some forests.
