S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 - Heart of Chornobyl #1,416: Bandits, Boars, Zombies & Dogs

It was great sunny weather when I left Yaniv Station. My goal was to go south and then take the upper east road, that ran along the swamp, to a location off that road that went to several unmarked buildings. This place, north of the Pile Driver and south of Lisovyi Village, was the last unexplored Red Forest location for me to go to. I passed Yaniv Village, came to the crossroads and took the swamp road east. Right as I arrived at the spur road, that went to this unmarked location, I came across the pile of a dozen pistols I had dumped when overloaded. I had left these, when I was going back to Yaniv Station, and I grabbed them now, making me change my plans. I was going to take them to the Dusty Cable Tunnel building, where I could leave them in my stash there and then return to the mystery buildings I wanted to explore. As I continued eastward, I soon arrived at the road going north to it. I heard gunfire and saw Boars charging the Bandits, just outside the building I was going to. I ran around the back of it and got on the roof. I shot one Bandit with my rifle and then heard a second Bandit announce he was going to throw a grenade up at me. I jumped down and ran around the building to the front where I blasted the Bandit right after he killed a Boar. A third Bandit started shooting at me and I retreated to the rear and went back on the roof, where I shot him in the head with my rifle. I killed the last two Bandits to the north, over the hill at their camp. My HUD was still red, but I could not find why, but I expected a Boar still below. When I looked over the front of the building from the roof, I could see a crate down below with an SVD in it. I jumped down to get it and went inside the building looking for a Boar that was not there. When I stepped back outside, my HUD detected unknown hostile men, so I went to the back again and up on the roof. It turned out to be three zombified Freedom, that I quickly killed and went down to loot. I looted the five Bandits next and was back on the roof sorting my stash and grabbing a load of weapons. I then realized that events had changed what I was going to accomplish today. Now I was taking a load of weapons back to Yaniv Station, after finding the SVD and looting eight hostiles. I got down and went to the road that led back to the edge of the Red Forest. Suddenly I came across two dead Loners that I did not know were there, killed by the Bandits and Boars. Right as I looted the two Loners, I was blindsided and attacked by a pack of Blind Dogs. There were too many of them, I was overloaded and I had no choice but to turn and run back to the roof of the building I had just left. Np sooner did I get back up to the safety of the roof, when the skies got dark and it started raining. I went back and forth on the roof, shooting the many mutant dogs and as their numbers decreased, the remaining dogs were doing a better job hiding behind the fences and trees. I got down to chase the last dog. When I went down to skin them, I met a Black Loner that just walked up. My HUD was blue and it was safe again. I got back up on the roof to sort again after looting the two Loners to adjust my loadout when my HUD went red again. It was more mutant dogs. It was still raining, the sun was gone and I was on the roof shooting at the dogs circling the building. I had to switch to my night vision and kept at this for some time. To flush the mutant dogs out, I started throwing grenades, where I thought the dogs were hiding. Two Loners showed up and I got down and we killed the last of the mutant dogs. I wanted to get the hell out of there before another pack of dogs showed up. using my night vision all the way, I got back on the road and hurried westward, all the way down the road that took me north at the crossroads and back to Yaniv Station. The day did not go as I had wanted or planned but I did get a lot of loot. I would have to try again tomorrow, if the weather was good. Game Note:
