Discover Glasgow East End like a local (I'm a local)

The east end of Glasgow has a slightly notorious reputation but honestly, there are tons of spots you can go visit! Here's a few of my favs that I visit regularly on normal occasions. This doesn't capture everything that the East End has to offer because there's SO MUCH MORE TO IT. But hopefully, this will give you a brief idea of what's around Dennistoun. More places to come in Part 2! All the spots listed in this video are as follows: 1) Glasgow Necropolis, a beautiful location ie. cemetery behind the Glasgow Cathedral with a wonderful viewpoint of Glasgow City. One of the top places to visit if you're a tourist AND a local. It's a wonderful spot for taking a walk, dates, walking your dog, all of it. Bonus: Spar at the student accommodation behind Duke Street, nearby Morrisons. The only reason I'm including this is because Glasgow has no 7Elevens or Family Marts like most Asian countries do, and Spar is the only thing close enough to this! It excites me as a deprived Malaysian haha 2) Mesa is a great brunch spot with delicious food. I'd recommend try their egg skillets as their ingredients aren't conventional. They also offer vegan options for those with strict dietary requirements. 3) East Coffee Company is one of the top coffee spots in Glasgow. It's unpretentious, grungy and has cool baristas that serve up top-notch oat milk lattes. They also make stack pancakes and have to-die-for brownies 4) Baked is a no-fuss pizza Roman-style pizza spot. They serve up fluffy, crunchy pizza with some interesting and somewhat traditional Italian toppings. I know to many of you, Paesano is the best but the pizza styles ae very different from each other, so I'd recommend trying Baked too for a slightly different and very unpretentious experience.
