Welcome to Day 2 – Part 1 of our Japan Travel Series! 🇯🇵✨ After enjoying a delicious buffet breakfast at The Strings by InterContinental Tokyo, we took a taxi to one of Tokyo’s most peaceful and sacred places — Meiji Jingu Shrine. 🌿 About Meiji Jingu Shrine Located near Harajuku and Shibuya, Meiji Jingu was completed in 1920 and is dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. The shrine is surrounded by a massive forest of over 100,000 trees, donated from across Japan — creating a serene “urban forest” in the middle of Tokyo. Walking through the towering torii gates and forest paths felt like stepping into another world. 🌾 Special Highlight – Thanksgiving / Harvest Festival During our visit, we were fortunate to witness traditional agricultural exhibitions and thanksgiving ceremonies by farmers. Seasonal produce displays and cultural offerings reflected Japan’s deep respect for nature and harvest traditions. This seasonal event celebrates gratitude for good crops and blessings — a beautiful reflection of Japanese culture. 🎥 In This Video You’ll See: Hotel breakfast experience Taxi ride to Meiji Shrine Massive Torii gates entrance Forest walk inside the shrine grounds Farmers’ harvest exhibitions Cultural thanksgiving ceremony Traditional atmosphere & architecture Next episode: Tokyo Skytree experience!
