Dramatic horn, 2 max. speed Class 360s and a departing Class 700 at Harlington! - Fly-by/Departure -

Another lucky shot at Harlington, this time dominated by electric traction! Today starring are the newly upgraded Class 360s of East Midlands Railway in their smooth mauve livery, upgraded to operate at 110 m/h, or 176 km/h. As part of the entire Midland Mainline upgrade, EMR instated their Class 360 electric multiple units as their express commuter trains, operating on the southern, now electrified section of the MML. While the intercities are still diesel operated, those as well will in time be replaced by new bi-mode Class 810s. For today we see the 360s at full force flying through the station of Harlington. The first one comes flying in from London with some dramatic tones. The second is a coupled set flying in the direction of London, both operating at full speed.
