Supporters of President Donald Trump erupted into discord on a flight from Texas to Washington DC on January 5, verbally abusing at least one unidentified passenger as a supporter projected a “Trump 2020” visual against the ceiling of the cabin. Footage of the incident, posted on Twitter by Maranie Staab, shows passengers aboard the American Airlines flight becoming irate, using a number of profanities, and yelling out unfounded QAnon-related rumors while flight attendants try to de-escalate the situation over an intercom. With Congress set to affirm Joe Biden’s win in the Electoral College on January 6, supporters of Donald Trump descended on Washington from all across the country on January 5 and 6. Multiple rallies and marches, along with counterprotests, were set to take place in the city on January 6. American Airlines told Storyful, “Our team is reviewing this incident.
