Because I studied accounting at USC, a feeder school for the Big 4 accounting firms, I was part of a culture where it was either Big 4 or bust. You may have been let off the hook if you were going to a Tier 2 Accounting firm, but otherwise, you were considered a failure. It's unfortunate, but it's what the culture was like and I made this video, "Working for the Big 4", to give a clearer idea to students who are studying accounting or are thinking about pursuing a career at the Big 4 Accounting firms. In my research, I spoke with individuals who have worked for Big 4 firms in the past and are working for these firms right now, so that I could provide as clear of a picture as possible. I also want to say that it's perfectly okay not to work at the Big 4 after graduating college and that you will not be "a failure". I didn't make this video to "hate" on the Big 4; I want this video to be educational and help students know what working for the Big 4 is actually like!
