I left Moshi after breakfast, starting what would become my longest single-day ride in Africa so far: 100 kilometers. The road was good for the first 10 km, but then the challenge began. Heavy lorries and buses rushed by, the side road was rough, and a persistent strong headwind made every pedal stroke harder. I stopped for lunch in a small town, but for the rest of the day, the landscape felt empty and vast. I saw almost no one—just passing trucks and buses. It was a day of pure endurance, battling the elements on a long, open highway. Finally, I reached my stop for the night, exhausted but proud to have conquered the 100km mark.
