The pump itself works very well and provides plenty or air for the compost tea that I make. The pump doesn't run hot at all and is just warm to the touch as one would expect the heat exchange on the outside of the pump to be. The pump is not overly loud either if you set it on some padding, and is even more quiet if you hang it in the air by its handle. Personally, I just have it on some padding since it's in the garage and noise isn't much of a problem there anyway. Overall I am happy with the pump and receiving the missing parts, which give me more usage options.
