How to Replace Door Parts on a Hotpoint Washing Machine Door,Handle, Catch & Hinge

This video shows you how to change the Hotpoint hinges, Hotpoint door handle pecker unit, Hotpoint glass bowl, and Hotpoint inner and outer trim. This video is on how to dismantle and replace door parts on a WF series. Unplug the washing machine from the electric supply before starting any work. 1. On the left of the door remove the four screws that hold the hinges in place. The hinges loop through two holes in the front panel. 2. After the washing machine door has been removed place it on a cloth on a work surface so you do not scratch the trim. Then undo the screws that hold the two sections of inner and outer trim together. This will allow you to lever the door trims apart using two screwdrivers now you can remove the glass bowl. 3. If you find scratches on the glass this is due to the machine being out of balance at some point or you have items in the machine which might have had metal on them like buckles etc, unless there really bad they should not cause a problem 4. The next step you need to separate the inner door trim from the outer door trim this will give you access to the door handle and the pecker unit, the handle has to come through the outer trim hole. 5Before striping the door handle and pecker unit its worth taking a photo so you can remember how it came apart so you know how it goes back together.
