ICFRE-IFGTB has released hybrid clones of Casuarina - CH1, CH2 and CH5 - which are widely cultivated in many states of India. This documentary film covers the socio-economic impact of cultivation of Casuarina clones, especially CH5. Raw material demand and share of CH5 clone in pulpwood supply are endorsed by wood based industries. Impact of high yielding clone in increasing the farm income was narrated by casuarina growers. Rural employment generation and Quality Planting Material production by licensed nurseries are documented. Scope of pole trading with CH5 clone is explained.
