2004 Gothic turn-based RPG recorded directly from PS2. Possibly one of the best RPGs ever released for the system. The combat system is very unique due to the Judgment Ring in which both skill and luck factor for each turn. This will be a very long journey so I thank you in advance if you decide to stick with this playlist until the very end. This is a new game +, but the characters don't keep their levels, everything gets reset. No previous equipment also. However, there are some specials that are kept in a new game +, but I'll get into that as we progress. Since battles are random encounters and dungeons can be lengthy at times, I decided to edit out most random encounters, just show you a few ones and of course all boss fights that I can encounter. So don't be surprised to see weird transitions during dungeon crawling: that's just me editing out random battles. Story: The year is 1915. WW1 was beginning. Europe and Japan are terrorized by demons and bio-weapons. We play as Karin Koenig, a ponytail redhead swordswoman. She is an officer in the German Army. One day, she gets sent into the small village of Domremy to investigate sightings of a demonic being. Inside the village's church she finds what she was tasked to look for and her life changes from that point onwards. She also shares the spotlight with another main character but we'll get into that next video. Karin is like a Red Mage: jack of all trades, master of none. She is a decent damage dealer with her sword and her magic stats are average. There are plenty of voice acted cutscenes but I turn my mic on and off to read any text. So let's begin!
