Emergency services were called to Clower Avenue in Rouse Hill shortly before 4pm yesterday, following reports that a five-year-old girl had been hit by a vehicle while riding her scooter on a footpath. Paramedics provided urgent treatment at the scene before rushing her to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a critical condition. Sadly, police confirmed early this morning that the young girl had died from her injuries. The incident occurred near Rouse Hill Public School, about 40 kilometres north-west of Sydney’s CBD. Police said the driver of the Toyota Hilux, a 42-year-old man, was taken to Blacktown Hospital for mandatory testing.
