In this episode, I'm reviewing 6 pairs of the 5a American Classic drum sticks from Vic Firth. Like most sticks, these are made from Hickory. In this music gear product review, I discuss how these sticks differ from similar sticks from Promark and Vater. I'll do some close up video of them rolling on a table so you can see if the sticks are cut strait, and will play some samples so you can hear how they sound. We will also take a look at the price point of these sticks compared to the competitors. Additionally, we'll check the weight of the sticks to see if they are truly a matched pair (note my gram scale is accurate down to about 0.5 grams).
