“All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveller is unaware” – Martin Buber We left our caravan in Halls Creek and made a day trip to the crater, about a 2-3hr drive via the Tanami Road! It was an easy drive, that was dusty but not so corrugated. There were a few gates we had to open and close to access into the NP. Wolfe Creek Crater is the second largest crater on Earth! It is a remarkable dent in the ground that was created by a massive meteorite that smashed into the WA desert many thousands of years ago. It is a short 200-metre walk to the crater rim lookout … WOW! The Rim Walk is just over a 3km loop, and so unique, if you haven’t been we would recommend ticking it off your list. Viewing this spectacular meteorite crater is a must! Time to hit the road! Michelle & Michael – The travel addicts
