One of the iconic American guitars, the Gibson J45 has been popular since its introduction in 1942 because of its balance of warmth, brightness and articulation. The slope-shoulder dreadnought design uses a spruce top, mahogany for the back, sides and neck, and rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge. This 1957 J45 is a fabulous strummer, great for songwriting and recording. It has a nice projection over the whole tonal spectrum whilst still remaining subtle. Especially when strumming it has the characteristic vintage dryness, and volume, that most vintage J45s have. This J45 has clearly been played, but this player is still in very good condition. It has one repaired crack on the back of the body and the jack hole on the side has been nicely filled. The saddle is getting a little low, but it has a fine playability and the tone is simply enchanting. Comes in a hardshell case with TFOA passport.
