#numetal #oldschool #neverdie Once known as Blindsided, CHANGING SKIN, a melodic hardcore band from Boston, Massachusetts, reinvented itself in September of 2002 with a new name and line-up changes. CHANGING SKIN is now working on a full length CD that will feature their hit singles "Change" (recorded with John Ellis), "Imperfections" and "I Contact" (both recorded with Jim Foster). From melodic vibes inspired by Tool, to aggressive outbursts resembling System of a Down, CHANGING SKIN has created a sound that is uniquely their own. With each member coming from a different cultural and musical background, the five have managed to create what is now the CHANGING SKIN sound. Their insane live shows have also created a buzz - these musicians leave nothing behind when they take the stage. While the upcoming release (yet entitled) showcases the band's tremendous musical growth, they remain committed to maintaining the high-energy live performances they have become known for. Now a Jagermeister sponsored band, CHANGING SKIN toured a third time this September by completing 15 shows in 16 dates with Adrenokrome on the "Jager Shake Tour." The band is thrilled to have already had the chance to play with bands such as Staind, Sevendust, Disturbed, Cold, Adema, Black Label Society, Hatebreed, Ill Nino, Powerman 5000, Type O Negative, Reveille, Hed PE, 40 Below Summer, Diecast, Smile Empty Soul, NonPoint, Dry Kill Logic, Blindside, Lacuna Coil, Dope, Otep, Ra, Stuck Mojo, Hotwire, Slaves on Dope, ShineDown, Motograter, Slitheryn, Dog Fashion Disco, Raging Slab, Splitshift, Flaw, Fozzy, Reach 454, Tapping the Vain, 3rd Strike, Must, Revis, Tree, Cave In, Nullset, SEV, Unearth, Closure, [minus.Driver], Vision of Disorder, Zug Island, Death Angel, and many other friends. Changing Skin has also participated in such events as Locobazooka 11 (Sep. 2002) and 12 (Sep. 2003), NH Freedom Fest (Jan. 2002), the NY Metal Fest (Mar. 2002), NY Rocketball Fest III (Nov. 2002), 3rd Annual Hometown Throwdown, a New Year's Eve Bash w/ Nonpoint (Dec. 2002), among others. With their dynamic and intense live shows, CHANGING SKIN has built a loyal fan base in the New England area, while racking up over 140,000 hits on their website, selling out of their two earlier demo CDs, and having played for sold out clubs through 11 states, including music festivals and showcases. Currently, CHANGING SKIN is focused on an upcoming full-length CD. Still shopping for a label, CHANGING SKIN is also looking into more tour opportunities to take place in 2004.
