Woodturning a Christmas Decoration - Turners Warehouse Ornament Challenge

Today I’m woodturning a stunning Christmas ornament from maple burl! The bulb is stained a festive red, while the finials are left natural for a classic contrast. I turned this piece on my Harvey T60S lathe using Easy Wood Tools carbide cutters, then brought it to a smooth, glossy finish with Yorkshire Grit Microfine and Hampshire Sheen Burnishing Oil. For a little extra magic, I added opals from Easy Inlay and finished it off with a red ribbon so it’s ready to hang on the tree.
