Dr. Danny Shouhed is a board-certified minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgeon based in Los Angeles, California. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Shouhed completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA, graduating with honors in physiological sciences. He went on to earn a scholarship to UC San Diego School of Medicine and later completed his general surgery residency at Cedars-Sinai, one of the top GI surgery hospitals in the country. After serving as chief resident, Dr. Shouhed pursued advanced fellowship training at Mount Sinai in New York, specializing in minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery. He then returned to Cedars-Sinai as a faculty attending, where he helped develop the hospital’s robotic surgery program and refined his expertise in complex foregut surgery. Today, Dr. Shouhed focuses on advanced procedures including foregut surgery, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), median arcuate ligament syndrome (MALS), superior mesenteric artery (SMA) syndrome, ALS, bariatric surgery, and revisional surgery. With extensive experience and specialized training, Dr. Shouhed is dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care, combining advanced surgical techniques with a patient-centered approach.
