Kenmore Highland Games 2019 in Perthshire Scotland with Highland dancing and Scottish Heavy events
Kenmore Highland Games is the only evening Highland Games in Scotland, held in Kenmore by Loch Tay, Perthshire, Scotland. It is one of the friendliest of games, allowing visitors to compete in some events. This film shows competitors in the Highland Dancing and Scottish heavy events, including well known competitors Lukasz Wenta, Vlad Tulacek from the Czech Republic and Kyle Robert Randalls from Scotland. The film also shows visitors to Kenmore Highland Games take part in the Tug O' War Team challenge. Teams taking part included a visiting European Film Crew making a 'Dracula on holiday' film, staff from the local Crannog Centre on Loch Tay, German students and a wedding party. The Highland Fling is probably the most famous of all Highland dances, which requires endurance and strength. Believed to have evolved in the 1790s based on the rearing of stags, it is danced on the spot as clansmen originally danced this on their targes, which were studded shields.
