A Walk in my Artist Shoes | Artist Vlog | Oak Island

I am an artist in North Carolina. In this artist vlog entry, my family and I set out to explore the lighthouse and piers in Oak Island North Carolina. In a fairly small area, I was hoping to photograph and video 2 beautiful piers as well as my first North Carolina lighthouse... the day was foggy which gave everything a mysterious undertone. I can now imagine creating art in grays and browns... you'll see what I mean when you dive in! By the way... the Oak Island Pier is one of my FAVORITE piers! It was rebuilt most recently after Hurricane Matthew damaged it in 2017. It re-opened in 2019. I imagine piers have many stories to tell with so many people walking on top of and below them, and even though this one is newer, I'm sure that still holds true. I love the metal grates down the middle so you can see below! For things to see in Oak Island NC, the lighthouse and piers are among the coolest. Vlogging with my family in the area was a lot of fun as they helped me gather inspiration for art. My hope for this vlog is that I can provide you with some inspiration!
