[UNREAL] CITADEL OF INFINITE VOID // WORLD RECORD // ETOH (TOP 5)

The culmination of my 5 years of playing this game, my most grandiose achievement to date, and my first unreal, overdue by the greater portion of 2 years, with my first 12 run on this citadel dating back to the middle of 2024. My experience with this citadel started way back when it was created, and it was believed to be Mid-High Unreal, being verified by Skitsuna at the time, I played it occasionally intending to boost my consistency for my main grind at the time, Tower of Eternal Void. After finishing off ToEV, I decided to grind this and I made alarmingly fast progress, especially for the time it was done, with me reaching Floor 7 before there was a 2nd victor, however, despite my love for the citadel, my spark to finish it off slowly but surely faded away, and my progress alongside it, Floor 7 remained my pb until I tried regrinding it in early 2024, where I got to Floor 8, and soon the reverse dropper, however yet again my want to play the citadel faded, just before it had however, I managed to fluke from the reverse dropper to the first jump of floor 12, which ultimately killed my interest in clearing the citadel, since I was certain I would fluke floor 12. Over the last year and a bit, I've played the citadel very sporadically, gathering another 3 floor 12 fails, 2 of them on the final stretch. I vastly enjoyed this citadel every time that it wasn't a focus of mine, as soon as it became a focus, enjoyment diminished, and to be honest I don't know why, if I had to guess I'd say its probably because its too tedious to want to stick to for months on months. This grind was almost an exact mirror of my grind on the Tower of Eternal Void, and ironically enough it is the sequel of it, so I suppose the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Weirdly as well, I find this feat to be quite comparable to my Tower of Eternal Void clear, considering the timeframe I had beaten ToEV, the mindblock from it being top 1, the lagspikes, the worse peripherals. Contrary to my previous statement however, I do believe this citadel is underrated in difficulty, I find it to be roughly equal with Tower of Blind Fate, and I personally find both towers harder than Tower of Spiralling Fates, which is considered quite controversial but it's just my opinion so let it rest. Fun fact about this completion, not only do I have the lowest hour count of anyone to ever clear this, but I also have the lowest in-game timer of any victor, 59 minutes and 57 seconds, hence the "WORLD RECORD" in the title.
