In this video, we are going to talk about why you don’t necessarily need to choose the biggest, most powerful bike when you’re first starting out, even if you think you can grow into it. We go over things like engine characteristics, suspension, seat height, cost, and maintenance. I would almost always recommend to someone who is completely new to riding to start out on a bike that is more tame and easy to control like a TTR 125 or 230, depending on they’re physical size. Starting out on a bike like this vs something like a 250 two stroke or even a 125 two stroke can make the learning curve a little more gradual. You can focus on your technique and really work on your skills instead of holding on for dear life and dealing with the rear wheel breaking free all the time.
