I LOVED OUR RESORT! Douglas Fir Resort in BANFF Alberta Canada | Rocky Mountains Weekend Getaway

I loved our resort! The Douglas Fir Resort and Chalets. It was so family friendly with a little kitchenette that we could cook our food at (and save some money!), there was also a full sized fridge, kettle, and microwave. There were 3 beds so it was really spacious for our small family of 4. We also got a parking space for our vehicle and bus passes that could get us to downtown Banff and back so didn't have to worry about finding parking. I loved the amenities here especially with a killer pool that had double waterslides and 2 hot tubs, pretty sure there were also pool tables in there too that we skipped. And there was also in indoor kids play area, a great way to hide inside on those hot afternoons or if the wildfire smoke was bad. It was a little hazy while we were there but we were still able to get out and about. We did a couple hikes - one out to Lake Louise:    • Exploring Lake Louise and attempting ...   But the other hike we did was just in behind the resorts and it was awesome as well. Very shaded trail walking, lots of meandering trails just behind the resort to explore. Plus when we were tired we just walked back up the hotel!
