PATHRODE MANGALOREAN STYLE | PATHRODE RECIPE | KONKANI STYLE PATHRODE PATHRODE MANGALOREAN STYLE INGREDIENTS · Boiled rice-3 cups · Colocosia leaves-20 · Chicken-1` kg · Uppalige leaves or banana lleaf for wrapping · Onions-4 for grinding · Tomatoes and onins-seasoning FOR MASALA · Red long chillies-6 · Red short chillies-4 · Coriander seeds-4 tbsp · Cumin or jeera-1tsp · Pepper corns-12 · Cloves-8 · Onions-4 sliced · Khus khus-2 tsp · Garlic-1 pod · Tamarind-1 marble sized · Turmeric-1 tsp · 1 big coconut-grated METHOD · Soak the boiled rice for 4 hours or overnight · Grind it to a paste adding salt the batter should be thick · Wash and clean the colocasia leaves, shred the leaves in water for 20 mins to remove dirt, then pat dry it · Place the rice mixture at the centre of the leaf, fold it like a pocket, place it in a steaming pot one by one and close the lid and steam for 30-45 mins. Open the lid and check whether the pathrode is cooked using toothpick or a knife, if it is clean then it is cooked · Now unwrap the colocasia rolls one by one and keep it aside · Now take ther each roll and slice the roll into 1cm, keep it aside · Take a vessel, add 3 tsp of oil, ghee or butter, heat it, add 1 minced onion fry till it is slightly brown then add 4 tomatoes minced, fry for about 5 mins, add chicken pieces and cook for about 10 mins for about 10 mins · Open the lid, add the masala and masala water adjust it to a thin consistency bring it to a boil · Add colocasia rolls one by one, reduce the flame and give it a small boil · Transfer it to a vessel, Pathrode Mangalorean Style is ready My Email: [email protected] Copyright:- Everything you see on this video was created by me (Kudla Kitchen) unless otherwise stated.
