Today I review the Ardbeg 10 year old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The Ardbeg Distillery is one of the most popular distilleries on Islay. It was established in 1815 on the south shore of Islay and has survived being shuttered on a few occasions. This whisky has no colour added, is not chill filtered, and is bottled at 46% ABV. It is a vatting of First fill and refill Ex-Bourbon casks and is heavily peated at around 50 ppm. Is this whisky a modern day Islay classic that is available almost everywhere?
