We started off by making studs that recess into the sides of the van to maximize space. We could have used 3/4 inch fur strips but we chose to take the time and take advantage of some extra space by recessing the studs. Then we added framing to the steel roof supports and created an angled edge that matches the contour of the van. After that, we created two square openings for our Dometic AC unit and our Maxxair fan that will be mounted on the roof. Finally we ran our electrical conduit to all of our devices that are in the ceiling of the van because we wont be able to run wires once the spray foam is installed. All of these steps get us closer to our ultimate Vanlife goal! Thanks for following along with our van build!
