Welcome to the newly refurbished BHVSC where we are well equipped to take care of patients with voice and swallowing difficulties. We perform stroboscopy, Narrow Band Imaging, Flexible laryngoscopy, Velopharyngeal insufficiency assessment, Injection Laryngoplasty, flexible biopsy, LEMG ( Laryngeal EMG), Botox injections for Spasmodic Dysphonia, FEES ( Func-tional Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing), Voice and Singing therapy, Swallowing Therapy, EMST, E STIM ( electrical stimulation) for dysphagia and Computerised Voice Analysis. The team comprises of Laryngology Consultant, Laryngology Fellows, Voice and Singing Therapy Consultants and Swallowing Therapy Consultants, Residents and our Nurse. When needed surgeries for vocal fold polyps, cysts ,sulcus, granulomatous lesions, paralysis , premalignant and malignant lesions are performed by laser or cold steel endoscopically or via open surgery. We are also a centre of excellence for neurolaryngology and perform laryngeal reinnervations. Dr. Nupur Kapoor Nerurkar is a founder and board member of the International Association of Trans Voice Surgeons and Trans Voice Surgery is performed endoscopically routinely to increase the pitch of voice in Transwomen.
