In the footage, several employees can be seen hurling dustbins and using belts during the brawl, causing chaos on the platform. According to reports, the altercation started as a verbal argument over placing a water box inside the train but quickly escalated into a physical fight. The incident occurred on Monday morning, drawing the attention of passengers and railway officials. Following the incident, Delhi Police registered an FIR against those involved, while the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) took immediate disciplinary action. Four catering staff members were de-rostered, and a penalty of ₹5 lakh was imposed on the service provider for failing to maintain discipline. Railway authorities have condemned the behaviour, calling it “unacceptable and unprofessional,” and assured that further investigations are underway to prevent such incidents in the future.
