Jo Jo presented with a runny nose and so we went ahead and took her to the vet to see what was going on. Anytime a horse presents with any kind of a cold symptom they are kept away from the other horses until they can do an evaluation. In this case JoJo was not running a fever. So what they decided to do was put a saline flush through her guttural pouches. and she went on 14 days of antibiotics. she never actually got really sick she never lost her appetite all she had as far as a symptom was the runny nose and that only lasted for 4 days. by the way she is doing just fine now #horsevet #equine
