I got my hands on Lunar Lander by @NumskullDesigns This is what I thought of it.... Let me know in the comments your thoughts on the machine here and what other Quarter Scale arcade cab you would like to see made. Product info: https://quarterarcades.com/collection... Quarter Arcades: https://quarterarcades.com/ About Lunar Lander - 1979 by Atari: Lunar Lander was a pioneering arcade game released by Atari, Inc. in 1979. It used vector graphics, giving it a distinctive wireframe look on a black background. The game was inspired by earlier text-based lunar landing simulations popular on mainframe computers in the 1960s and 1970s. In Atari’s version, players controlled a lunar module descending toward the Moon’s surface, carefully managing fuel and thrust to achieve a safe landing on designated landing pads of varying difficulty and point value. And it was difficult! You can see that from my gameplay :) Designed by the legendary Ed Logg, Lunar Lander was also notable for being one of the first arcade games to feature multiple control buttons dedicated to precise thrust adjustments, along with a lever for rotation. Though it was only a moderate commercial success compared to Atari’s later huge hit Asteroids, it helped establish the vector graphics hardware that would define several of Atari’s early arcade classics. Today, Lunar Lander is remembered as an important step in the evolution of physics-based gameplay and realistic space simulation in video games. #quarterarades #retrogaming #arcade
