Time in fallout 4 is one of those things that most peolpe overlook, for example, if you miss a vendors operating hours, you can just stare at them from a bench while you wait nearly 12 hours for them to open again, but what if you wanted to take a mechanica that is under utilised in the game, and turn it into a cruel vault tec experiment where you were now on a timer and that timer hitting zero resulted in your immediate demise! Introducing the death clock, a 30 seocnd timer that can only be increased by taking the lives of all who dared to spawn into the game, but while, the odds are already stacked against us, you know we gotta raise the stakes. Ill be banning all legendary weapons and gear, on one hand they’ll break the mod when they pop up upon collection, on the other hand in prior testing, spray and pray completely ruined this run. Well also be playing on survival with the added mechanic of paying to save, for example, when you sleep in survival mode you save the game, but in this case, ill have to forfeit time in order to do so, if I got to a bed with 3 minutes banked up and sleep for 2 hours, 2 minutes in this case, I can not move until my time is paid in full. And I know that last statement mustve raised some eyebrows so let me explain, youll see through the video that my timer is displayed in hours and minutes, that is because time operates strange in fallout 4, so displayed minutes and seconds would have us dying before we were able to take our first steps. So for future reference hours is minutes and minutes is seconds, and to accomplish that, I changed the timescale to update 3 times faster meaning thrat for every real world second, a minute goes by in fallout 4. but with that all out of the way, lets get into this new mechanic that turns an other wise leisurely run into a death race.
